What Is Division?

Michael Levine's thought-provoking post leads me to ask "what is division"?

To divide an item; requires meeting it TWICE:

Observer meets ITEM

Observer meets DIVIDED ITEM.

But look: Observer is also divided?

How measure the division of the item?

Can only partially differentiate the possible division becauser Observer's OWN possible division is entangled in his perception of the alleged division?

This phenomenon can restore continuity to discontinuity: continuity appears maintained and Chris Langan's "conspansive duality" and Dr. Richard Stadfford's "data transmission as part of explanation" and Christianity's "as you measure, so you are measured" all seem very relevant....
