Running The Evolution Tape In Reverse

thats an interesting slant similar to what i've heard before. but this idea mentioned how our brains have an archaic remnant of a 'reptilian' brain. the idea being that our moral state is a struggle between the 'harkening' of the beast within and the rational part of our brains that give rise to our human moral inclinations.
example: a fly lands near a frog sitting on a rock. well you know what the frog is going to do.
a fly lands near a man sitting on a rock. the man can decide to swat or swat not.
