Common Sense: Will you advocate for
a) what is already commonly agreed - or -
b) what you think should be commonly agreed after due deliberation and further learning.

Hitler chose a). He said leading Germany was like sleepwalking. We are all capable of making this choice at times. I submit that we should choose b) on important matters.

Holiness: Being faithful to your choices, and making a reasonable effort to set a good example
as God in your conscience shows you. I qualify this with "reasonable effort" because some persons, being persecuted or not given a truly fair hearing, are unable to produce the seemliness of Holiness which is the good fortune of some others.

Proper Sexually: Previously determined by tradition, modern understanding has altered and qualified what is considered proper. We now know that certain traditions, by harrassing sexual minorities, were intimidating folks who have different wiring. This did not necessarily produce a better world. Just as the time of human sexuality is not limited to narrow windows of estrus as is the time of cats, for example, the definition of Propriety is not determined by the natural world or by reference to a privately owned corporate "Creator" either. Heads were not "Created" to wear hats; feet were not "created" wear shoes; hands were not created to play the piano, (it seems...since the piano was not invented 'til long after hands).

What is "proper" can be be discussed in terms of what is safe, healthy, agreeable and Holy. Religious freedom dictates freedom of conscience while biological awareness suggests avoiding promiscuity and bad hygiene. Common Sense would
help us make a society where every person could
make full use of "due deliberation and further learning" in good conscience.
