Strictly speaking, a logicist is someone who thinks that mathematics can be reduced to logic (e.g., set theory). Generally speaking, it is someone who thinks science and all of creation can be reduced to logico-mathematical relations. I am a logicist to a certain degree, although I think the 'logic' that everything reduces to is some kind of holistic logic. Classical logic would just be a limited case of 'holistic logic' in my view. |
