Mike, I'm referring to the change in entropy which is what I gathered Alan was discussing. For example, isn't the Clausius derivative dS=dQ/T a indicator of entropy change. Notice Alan's comment:

The laws of physics appear to become only "law", or "group" as in "categorizing
phenomena in an organised way" when you COUNT. Entropy only has to increase when "time passes" when you COUNT TIME PASSING.


It is clear to me that Alan is referring to change in entropy. In any case, you are correct, I should have mentioned this.

Entropy is a measure of how much energy is available in a closed system compared to the total amount of energy in that system.

Shannon has also used the term with regards to information (as you probably know).
