The topic as raised was using that example to raise a wider topic. What I wrote about the
rigor needed in science was for the purpose
of setting up the over all question. You appear
to have restated in different terms the same answer I gave for that sub-topic while citing Lamarck, Darwin and Gould.
Did I fail to convey that there was a wider topic being raised for discussion?
