Hi Infinidy, mathematics is the highest form of exlaining technical knowledge that we have created for ourselves so far, but it surely is not the basis of reality, neither is language or patterns of thought. All these things are only our way of viewing reality from different angles of perception. If you knew every language of every life form (not just the super intelligent) and all the knowledge (logic...) from all worlds in all times and places, then one might have a good first step to percieving total reality, and it actually is impossible because inanimate objects although they do not percieve as we do, are a part of this reality, which we will never know. What about the reality of a plant? They too percieve in thier own way, not to mention artifical intelligence... But, the one we have is pretty good I think, as far as god, you mentioned that the universe operates according to logic and mathematics, god makes no sense in this light, but I do not think that the universe operates under what we come up with as logical or mathematical, these are our own explainations. In our own declaration of logic, life would never end in an organism, it would be the perfect recycling machine, never needing outside input once reaching a certain development, other than more information I guess. Our logic and mathematics also leads us to believe in a real entity called time, and also to state that there is no such thing as an everlasting perpetual motion mechanism, when in reality all there is is our vast never ending changing present of this everlasting perpetual universe, we have a long long long way to go before we begin to accept. |
