...probably originates in the fact that, according to many things he has said, he does not recognize a duty to learn what is happening inthe lives and minds of persons he thinks are delusional or stupid.
He wrote: "Why should my spirituality have any reference to people of dubious mental faculties?"

One problem with this is that it leaves him ignorant of a whole group of phenomena -- the thoughts and beliefs of large and influential
groups of persons and of individuals too.

Then, he proceeds to lump another group, "liberal Christians," with "fundamentalists" and "people who believe they are visitors from Andromeda" as if the phenomena are indistinguishable. This will not stand up to questioning.
Science researchers spend their lives discovering small differences between phenomena.
One does no service to science by failing to
notice differences. It is important to state that some differences are not consequential. For example, cosmetic traits such as skin color, eye color and hair color probably never cause misunderstanding between persons. What causes misunderstanding involving colors & cosmetic traits is how those persons process information about those colors etc.
It is unnecessary to be color blind or blind to differences between belief systems. It is maybe
necessary to be honest and thoughtful about the topic and not rush to judgment.
