Why did I say I am a full octave ahead of Mark,
then refer to light, not sound?
The sound metaphor would not be bad.
It is harder to play the high notes on most musical instruments, and a pro can play a lot higher than a rookie.
But I chose the light metaphor. Why? Besides being a closet crackpot (Yanniru will claim I said this, but I never did), I also can point to a reference I've written about on this forum before -- from Colin Wilson. One of his citations told of a scientist who stated that the one frequency can imprint content on another frequency, but it is not a two-way street. This is a poor paraphrasing, but what do you expect? I've been out in the sun too long.
In short, I know enough to answer most all of
Mark's concerns recently raise here with pretty good adequacy, if I chose to work for free.
I am, for a short time in this mortal passageway, now blessed with a depth of education, a writer's mind, an unusually wide variety of experiences in the school of light-to-moderate knocks (it's better than the school of hard knocks), and a lot of experience with petty tyrants. Not saying I'm so great...just something.
