Hi Lysithea,

I thought Richard's comments were a pretty good defense for the historical reliability that Jesus lived and was considered the Messiah by his close disciples. Whether that means that everything in the Gospels happened is quite another matter. Although, my faith in Christianity is not based on any historical accuracies, rather I see the framework of Christianity as its stronghold.
