Ok, I have done some research myself, and am doing so now, on the marriage of science and religion. From all that I have read and seen on the net, I do not see any possible cause for mandatory seperation of the two. I have read about several explanations about the time problems with the book of Genesis in the Bible, and none can be called ridiculous. They`re just not a strict interpretation of the Bible. One theory even had the Big Bang lining up with the 7 days of creation, and it made a lot of sense. There doesn`t need to be a war between religion and science. I myself am a strong Christian, and find that studying science DOES NOT RULE OUT GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have actually been strengthened in my faith by my queries into science. Did the Big Bang happen? I dunno, it`s not my place to say. Did God create the universe in 168 hours? Again, I don`t know, not my place to know. But no matter how the universe was created, God did it. I have no doubts at all. Feel free to email me with your thoughts. |
