Religion has wrestled with our inhumanity to one another through the ages. With our earnest religions, we try to "calm the savage beast within" and calm the savage beast of public opinion.
The U.S. Bill of Rights owes its existence both to skeptics of religion and persons of religious faith.
Since sexual diversity has always existed, opinion leaders of human communities have repeatedly evaluated, with various conclusions, which behaviors offend
the community and which are tolerable.
A large percent of us
are tolerant but ignorant of major parts of that diversity.
The argument continues. What SHOULD BE the
canon about sex for religion or state?
