Separating The WHEAT From The CHAFF

Jesus told the story of separating the wheat from the chaff. In describing God's management strategy to his pre-modern disciples, He implied God would let the harvest come in before trying to pluck out what was excess.
He did NOT say
1) the chaff was unnecessary
I thought he was trying to do the first step
in management education -- trying to get the
disciples to keep an open mind and suspend judgement. God, it seems, has a longer attention span and would be more patient with us
than we are with one another.
