I've heard the same thing from fundamentalists. It's precisely the kind of phrase that can set me off, right up there with "That's the exception that proves the rule." When an idea is logically absurd, self-contradictory or an oxymoron, I take that to be all the evidence I need to call the idea flawed. But again, this is just semantics.

You *felt* awake and your mind *felt* fully focused. Why is this being conscious of nothing? You are still apparantly experiencing some kind of sensation.
