Hi Mario,

Imagine a four-dimensional Einstenian universe, with three coordinates for space and one for time. Imagine also your life, from birth to death, in the context of spacetime geometry. The question of identity becomes trivial: "you" are a continuous trajectory in a four-dimensional coordinate system, from (x0, y0, z0, t0) to (xn, yn, zn, tn)

In order for one "person" to become another "person", you would have to break the continuity of the person's spacetime path. Replacing neurons or eating potatoes won't work. In fact, nothing will work, because a person is not "matter", a person is "spacetime".

Think about it and you will see it makes perfect sense.

Cheers,

Aurino
