Just a we have been telling Stafford all along.

The first chapter of B. Roy Frieden's book,

"Physics from Fisher Information"

describes something very interesting in addition,

that apparently all theories break down at some small scale. This even applies to quantum gravity which is treated in Chapter 11. So the book goes way beyond what Stafford has derived.

In the first chapter we mainly get to see the derivation of thermodynamics. The book is at the level of differential equations. Only Chapter 1 is available on-line.

The book was first published in 1998 and reprinted in 1999. So it is rather old research. Frieden is as well, being born in 1936.

So hopefully this puts all the Stafford stuff to bed for good.
