Alan,

I think you have a good chance to see the problem with your posts if you try and understand what you said yourself:

" I am aware some people "humour" alleged nuts; this appears to be dishonest, condascending, and patronising; though probably well-intentioned "

Wait a minute there! There are no real nuts, right? Only "alleged" ones? OK, I will buy that. But I know this guy here who says he is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He's not a nut, right? So what is he? Jesus?

Now Alan, give me your enlightened opinion. What should I tell this guy? If I tell him I think he's crazy, he will tell me he heard the same accusation 2,000 years ago. My arguing with him only convinces him he's right. OK, so maybe I should not bother and just say, "oh, really, good thing you came back as you promised, we thought you forgot about us". But according to you that would be dishonest, condescending, and patronizing.

So tell me Alan, what should I tell "Jesus"?
