Aurino's citation of the G.K. Chesterton quote
shows an insensitivity to Alan's feelings and
an ironic inability to see his own behavior in
the same light. Meanwhile, Aurino's great objection seems to be that someone has not lost
their powers of reasoning. The emotional thing
can be faked, and several here are faking it
very persistently.
