Is this an intranet or subgroup.... or is this really all the conversation in the world for astronomy.net?

"A good time" on this forum could
involve
1) mysteries of life are truly illuminated by diverse opinions well stated and energetically discussed
2) pertinent humor is shared and appreciated
3) those posting can actually defend their ideas and extend them, not merely insisting upon them
4) persons are invited to represent a point of view from diverse online groups such as atheists, creationists, someone majoring in philosophy of science
5) actually discussing the content posted here
by persons who post actual content....but followups have been sketchy
6) A moderator can help by causing persons to moderate their emotional outbursts and stick to topics ... in a Presidential debate, moderators are even allowed to mildly insist on an answer being translated from rhetoric to substance.
7) Quotas: To post each week, each person must COMPOSE an origional, light-hearted (not nasty) God and Science Joke to begin that week.
8) large numbers of persons visit to reads
9) increased sales by the astronomy companies who advertise here
