Here is the scoop.

Homocystein levels, as told by my Doctor, are suppose to be a value of 9 or lower. when values approach 15 or so, they are considered high and will do the following:

Turn LDL cholesterol into plaque that coats the arteries.

My levels are 53, as of last test (last weekend).

He says that a lack of vitamins b12/b6/folic acid will produce high levels of Homocystein. So, what he is first doing is feeding me these vitamins, and then an a few weeks he will retest me, and I will also have a test that checks the amount of plaque that has presented itself.

My guess is alot, and I am optimistic. I hope I am wrong...

I have been most likely malnourished for a period of years, accompanied by unhealthy eating (when I eat)

Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, Cream cheese, and more Bacon.

Not just those things, but things like them.

3.5 packs / day cigarettes - last 5 years
2.0 packs / day avg prior to that
total smoking time 18 years

did not like alcohol too much (pretty much hated it) but other bad habits prevailed. Some absolutely dangerous (more prolonged use of vs. the actual harshness of the substance).

And now...

Chemical free except for the patch

No Smoking - 9 days - and doing OK
Other: 6 months

Complusion to regress:

Chances of Smoking again - 70% & declining everyday

Chances of the other - 10% & declining
