I am interested in how some of the skeptics here would contend with this. In Is. 53 is found encrypted the words "Yeshua Shmee" which is transliterated to "Jesus is my name". Is. 53 is a chapter that deals with the coming of the Messiah. Also found are the names Peter, John, Mary[x3], James, Matthew, Luke, Mark, Ciaphas, Herod, wicked, perish, hill, Shiloh, pharisee, cross, pierced, seed, passover and more, [total about 40] in the 50 odd sentences in Is. 53. Keeping in mind that the text was written about 300 yrs BC one is left with a limited number of options. One rival conjecture would be that it is a statistical accident; that is, using the same process, one could come up with curtain-rod, lamp-shade, my name is algore, motor-oil etc., from any text. The problem is, you would have every [good] reason to expect words that occur by statistical accident to be utterly irrevelent to the text in which they occur. The more logical contention would be that the author purposely encrypted this information in the text; this, in turn, begs the question of who is the author? Supposing that the author is Isaiah [a Jew] one must contend with how or by what means he was able to write history in advance. If one chooses to postulate that the text was written after the fact, by someone other than Isaiah, one is left with the question of why would Yeshua [Jesus] be mentioned so promenantly between the lines of a Hebrew text? What do you think?
