Religion uses belief to manage crowds and
advance its agendas.
However, you can choose your beliefs honestly
anyway, and work for a world where similarly
honest folks hold the balance of power.
Strip away all the b.s. from the Bible and
you still have Jesus saying he came into the world to bear witness to the truth. Naturally,
RELIGION could not bear to have him speaking
as honestly as he knew how. But civilization
can bear it.
