God apparently does respect honesty, but not stupidity. i hope and believe that God does weigh honesty and morality on scales of righteousness, such as when a bounty hunter asks an abolitionist if he has seen any slaves in the area and then the ablolitionist replies no, knowing full well he has one hiding in a secret place.

lucky is the man who is too smart to be fooled by himself.
