as I stated in the response 'I do agree, but' Context and complexity are definately 'in scope' or a better choice of words 'warranted' with respect to 'truth' and especially something of this nature.

'We' or as I should have put it: The collective group of people whos faith's are based on the old and/or old/new testaments.

and in reference to 'The' truth, meaning, after being asked, of GOD, compared to what is written in these books / scriptures.

a. Are these books your words? Were they given to us by you.
b. If so, were they interpreted correctly? And are we living up to those words?
c. If not, would we be inclined to not believe, or have a more difficult time believing that the 'Being' or 'Form' claiming to be GOD is actually GOD?

Let us take it from there...
