I accept your apologies that you have given me in prior forums. I hope that in future posts, questions will be asked vs. emotional commentary that appears to have the eloquence of 60 grit sandpaper against a ‘G’ in color flawless diamond.
Just because I like a post does not mean that “I side with a person” nor does it mean that “I believe one person more that the other”. I simply found it amusing (the post about ‘How Sadaam Should Proceed’) and in no way did I see it in a ‘Mike vs. Richard’ light.
I was not really bothered by your reply to the “Joke” but was rather interested in ‘why’ you replied the way you did. But up until now, based on viewable further commentary by yourself, I am feeling compelled to have a few words and ask a few questions.
1. Why is it so important for you, when making commentary, to include a shot on Richard (or for that matter any person) when the original post (the “Joke”) was not in any way shape or form associated with him or anyone. It was a, maybe poor at best – I admit, attempt at science based humor. You could have said “Lame, Robert, Lame” or “I could levy weak gravity better in a perfect vacuum vs. the poor attempt at scientific humor etc.” rather than make an attempt at casting me (and others) as idiots. It was un-needed Mike. It was un-needed.
2. Drop the paranoia please. Reality takes precedence here for sure. I gather, based on two posts “New Trick For Network And Forum Administrators” and “Thank You, Robert” that you were referring to the separation of this forum (by IP) for the few who reply here (now), vs. the “rest” who reply “maybe somewhere else”. I now get it (I think) was that the brunt of your original reply to my Joke “New Trick…”. Maybe. So, I will answer your question. Yes it is possible for a network administrator to partition (re-direct an IP). It is possible. Now the question will be asked. How likely? Well, let us take a look at some facts. The following people have chimed in, to discussion, other than “Us – Mike, Richard, Robert and a couple others.”

So, seeing the number of other posters making entries, I doubt that the network administrator has “partitioned” off US from the rest of “the real posting world”. And if your question here, was really to post a similar joke – hence “My post will parallel Bob's” then I say it was filled with a bit of animosity to which I refer you to question number 1 (Why is it so important… - above). To further my belief that partitioning is not happening, I post to this forum, from over five different subnets and I would think that the partitioning would be done “by name” rather than IP.
No Mike, I think the other posters (and this is where reality steps in here) have simply seen that the current set of posts do not relate to the “GOD and Science” forum but rather they relate to the “Mike vs. Richard” forum, and probably do not have much to add in the way of commentary. So they don’t frequent this forum much, anymore.
You made a statement in the “New Trick For Network And Forum Administrators” post that I am curious about. It was the statement where you separated yourself as being a career scientist and a “sane” poster. If this was part of the “My post will parallel Bob's” reply – as a joke, then we will leave it alone, but if it was not, then I ask what difference does it make who posts here. I come here to learn and share, as do others I suppose. I am, I assume, of equal ground with respect to human, regardless of my job, my intentions, my thoughts, or religion – for that matter.
I would not admit, if I were you, that you went to the same school as Al Gore and Dan Quayle. It’s just a word of caution and good sound advice.
In your response (post) which asks about my level of practice of Judaism, well, let me say the following.
1. Shema Yisrael, Adonai eloheinu, Adonai echad. Translation: Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
2. Thou shall not kill.
3. Love thy neighbor as thy love thyself.
This, and the other commandments, I follow. What more is there besides learning about what we have around us is there (life, people, the universe etc. and to love). What more is there. Remember, he who dies with the most scientific lab studies does not necessarily win you know.
I need not say more about that.
Except one question:
What gives you the right to question my values? Who are you anyway? Tell me about you? That’s fair…
My only opinion that I have about you is:
I think you start acting more like a PERSON than that of a PEARSON.
