I do believe that God has a moral code. Where did we get ours from?
I will iterate further (become more focused to and with a point).
What I think (and feel) is that God, in some form or fashion, shared those moral codes (at one or various moments - as much as we could swallow at a time), but, God will intervene no further than that. God has simply handed them to us and will not interfere (cause change in the course of our future) any further. Not to cause our death as a form of punishment, nor reward us with everlasting life or eternal presence.
I believe, those codes, being the Commandments and other life living and nurturing teachings, were enough. It is our responsibility to carry those forward, and we have.
What purely blinds us, or opens our eyes, is our interpretation of those codes, or really what does, is how we react with respect to three attributes matched / opposed to another's reaction set.
moral codes vs. feelings vs. thinking
against / for
someone else's moral codes vs. feelings vs. thinking.
I think that is simply called "Relating".
And, there are varying degrees of relating between each being or event.

On good, bad, and God...
====================================================================================================
God had perspective, but we are not God, we do not behold God's perspective. We have interpreted God's perspective via means of human communication handed to us in writings or verbal iteration.
There are countless millions of distortions of God's perspective regardless of what God's TRUE perspective is. Wading through those distortions to get to TRUTH, will be, for lack of better words, OUR FINEST HOUR.
And our toughest challenge... |
