When The Maker made your soul (along with all the others) from himself, he allowed it the ability to make choices (free will). Unfortunately, some of the choices that we make, carry us farther away from being joined back with God. Our time on Earth is an excellent opportunity for our souls to experiment with different choices, and to hopefully get closer to being one with our Father. Lessons must be learned, but things take time... God doesn't die, neither do our souls. Only because our human forms/minds have become so seperate from our true souls, we mistakenly think that we only have about 70 or so earth years to "live". Our Father isn't going to let you die... eventually all souls with find their way back to their Maker, through their own FREE WILL.
