To the Adventurer

The journey of discovery, is usually eventful
With a path that tells its tale
An adventurous story, with every find
And rarely does it fail

And sometimes journey, has an end
That some don’t like to tell
The incomprehensible tale of horror
About how the discoverers fell

Many question the risks we take
To travel down that path
Is it worth it, to take the chance?
It’s often in the math

But we must push, forever forward
To contest our future’s mystery
While we set out, to find ourselves
A unique view into our history

We say a prayer, for all who died
And the families they did love
Their mission in life, to be the discoverers
Here on Earth and far above

The next adventurers will carry forth
Their legacy to reach the stars
As it is our destiny, to reap discoveries
From our back yards to the heavens afar

Bless all those who plant the seeds to our future’s path.

Sincerely,
Robert Garfinkle
