Hello all...

"My personal belief is that most of us go to heaven regardless of belief or good works."

Your personal view which I agree with has been one of the most discussed topics in theology.

Namely what gets us to heaven? Is it good works or merely a gift Jesus appropriates to us. If my memory is correct St. Paul in the book of Romans seems to indicate that we are saved by grace alone. Additionally, St. Paul mentions Abraham and King David in Romans as an example of god's grace based on faith alone.

On a personal level, if heaven is achieved purely on works does't that diminish the sovereignty of god. In other words if I act accordingly I'm in. I gotta believe that God has the last say. Just thinking out loud I guess. Good day...
