I agree that "shame" is a word which might not apply, or need to.

Perhaps a better understanding would result if you would quote the chapter and verse and then linked your comment to what you are interpreting. But what you have said is a start.

Eden was not reputed to be heaven, precisely, was it? And surely they had to be aware of their "physical side" already to maintain their metabolic functions? The other part of the Eden story is that it is not much of a story at all.
Its effect on civilization is better comprehended when it is considered in all its limitations.

You say "Adam and his spouse." How about "Eve and her spouse?" The only reason we talk about
this stuff is to debunk it, I think. But part of the bunk comes from the way atheists interpret it...not only religionists.
