I agree with pretty much everything you said. I never intended to treat it as a law. One should still understand it, however, because it is consistent with basically all of our observations up to this point. As for the part about God, that's something you will never know and neither will I. Thus my agnosticism. We should approach everything with humility. If it turns out that we observe something that makes us special, we can then feel free to be conceited. I see nothing of the sort at this point.
