General relativity predicts gravity propagates at the speed of light and a black holes gravitational field we are causally connected with is outside the event horizon. The reason Einstein felt the need to develope a model for gravity is because Newton's model allows for instantaneous propagation of the gravitational force. Read lines 46-47 page 1 and lines 1-2-3-4 page 2 of the project on gravitational radiation that I posted in the blackhole forum. |
