"Newtonian gravity is ONLY an APPROXIMATION for GR in the weak field."

A good example of this is the bending of light. You can see light bending through fields like the one we are currently living in, something which Newton doesn't predict. On the other hand, the Newtonian approximation works very well for orbital dynamics in a field like this.
