I'm of the opinion that music is more of a release for emotions that are already there. I listened to grunge becauses I was frustrated, I didn't become frustrated by listening to grunge. On the other hand, people who just listen because it's the in thing to do very well might be influenced by it. That responsibility, however, lies more squarely on the listener and/or the parents of the listener. We should still respect the artist's right to free speech.
