You bet! Rock and roll is mostly about chords, that's why I quoted the Dire Straits song.

Basic blues is really just three major chords.

You wouldn't believe how much music is based on just three chords, including a lot of classical pieces. Heck, there's lots of two-chord music around. And "Tomorrow Never Knows" (I'm sure you know by whom) uses only one chord!

One of the most beautiful works of music, in my opinion, is Abbey Road (by the Beatles).

Ditto! "She came in through the bathroom window" still takes my breath away everytime I listen to it. And "Golden Slumbers" almost makes me cry.

The vocal harmonies they use in it are just breathtaking, the likes of which I've never heard in popular music. It probably echoes some of the original harmonies made by monks in the catholic church.

My point here! Sacred and secular music are one and the same, the division is artificial. It all comes from God, except Eminem of course...
