http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/europe/10/23/russia.siege/index.html

Russia, boxed in by Mountains to the south, Artic Ocean to the North, Siberian swamps to the East, and neighbored by a vibrant Europe to the West,
has experienced turbulent and tragic periods since
prehistoric times. Oddly, it was another Caucasian, Joseph Stalin, who deported all the Chechens to Siberia in World War Two.
Too many shells have fallen on both Russia and Chechnya. If you in the world only knew and fully thought about how many nice folks have been lost, you would be so sad you would clutch your body in pain.
I wish one of the following would happen
in today's crisis
OOO Russia obtains a promise of something in return for ending the war in Chechnya and all the hostages and hostage takers are given safe passage and amnesty

or
OOO
Russia gives safe passage and amnesty to hostage takers who release all hostages safely, having made their point. They start the conversation where it was before the event, having drawn world attention.

I don't understand it all.
