First off God demanded 7 of every animal.
Genesis 7:2+3
"Take with you seven [1] of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth."

No wait, God said that he wanted Noah to take a pair of every animal.
Genesis 6:20
"Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive."

And besides the flood didn't last 40 days! It lasted 150 days.
Genesis 7:3
"The water receded steadily from the earth. At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down,"
Or was it 40?

Geesh! This story is really contradicting itself. Man God either isn't perfect or doesn't exist at all.
