Evidence Of God's Needs

The best evidence I know of is the claim of Mary at Fatima that if enough people say the Holy Rosary enough times every day, she will convert Russia back to Christianity.

This statement is very revealing. It indicates that what god can do for humans (for certainly Mary is acting with the force of god, there is no other way for a being to act on such matters) depends on the actions of humans. Thus for god to institute peace, he "needs" humans to act in such a way that he will be able to create peace. Thus god has needs to make things happen on earth.

There are biblical references to such needs. The original covenant with the jews is that god will reward the jews with crops and offspring if they follow his commands. You may not interprete this as a need. But for god to reward the jews, he needs them to follow his commands.

That is a need set up by god. Nonetheless, it is a need for god as well. God does not break his covenants. Only humnas do.

In the same sense, god set up the universe to obey certain laws of nature, which as we are beginning to find out include the possibility of miracles like psychic healing. Once set up, god has MADE A COVENANT WITH THE UNIVERSE AND THESE LAWS CANNOT BE BROKEN EVEN BY GOD. So if there is to be a sudden disappearance or death of a species or a portion of a species, it must be in accordance with natural law.

And so it seems to have been with the dinasaurs. A castistrophic event took them along with many other species. And a nuclear exchange could take much of humanity. It would be consistent with the Christian concept of rapture, which by the way does not seem to have a biblical source. So even for creationists, it does not have to be true
