God needs a physical mechanism to suddenly take people away. The most likely mechanism is radiation sickness, so that following scripture, one guy in a field is taken and another is not.

If your body is sufficiently pure, you will not get radiation sickness. This was demonstrated at Hiroshima in a Buddhist hospital.

On this basis the impure are taked and the pure are left behind. Whether this is good or bad is your decision.
