Sam strikes me as an ominous character with regard to science. He's intelligent, articulate, while at the same time being motivated, obstinate, and worst of all, incorrigibly ignorant. Let's hope he doesn't go into politics or other areas where he can influence people (unlikely since these kind of individuals think that they are called to do so). I'm not calling him the antichrist or anything, but Damien in the movie the Omen had many of the same characteristics.

Okay, I'm kidding... Sort of anyway... :-)
