This is an excerpt from George lakoff's "where does mathematics come from"

Mathematics as we know it has been created and used by human beings: mathematicians,
physicists, computer scientists, and economists –all members of the species Homo sapiens. This
may be an obvious fact, but it has an important consequence. Mathematics as we know it is
limited and structured by the human brain and human mental capacities. The only mathematics
we know or can know is a brain-and-mind based mathematics. – Lakoff & Nunuez, p. 1,

This is a counter to the above statement

Cows as we know them have been raised and used by human beings: farmers, butchers,
biologists, cartoonists, and dairy-logo designers - all members of the species Homo sapiens. This may be an obvious fact, but it has important consequence. Cows as we know them are limited
and structured by the human brain and human mental capacities. The only cows we know or can
know are brain-and-mind-based bovines.

can cows really be substituted for mathematics is there a flaw with the counter or with the original?
