***Freedom, civilization, and democracy only took hold in Europe after they separated the state from the shackles of the church and its bible. "

Apply that to Islam? When have they separated the state from the shackles of the Mosque etc.

"Please see the history of medieval Europe to learn about what happens when Christianity is in power.***

Let's see...from 600 to 800 AD, the non-Christian Vikings are pretty scary to most folks.
Scandinavia largely converts to Christianity
a few generations later.
I think what we saw in Europe was the usual theme in many parts of the world and in religious history:
struggle for dominance by force, resolved mostly by who survived the struggles among the strongest, most popular and ruthless.
Peace was a period of cheating between two periods of fighting
-- which the church did not change much...though in some places, earnest persons of peaceful nature WERE
able to conduct lives of quasi-scholarship.
The church was more an agent for evil in some times and places than in others.
