Hi Alan,

When you keep your feet on the ground you are a very nice and interesting person to talk to, a rare combination.

If you can explain something then be my guest.

Nah, you won't understand it. You will be looking for something profound in what is essentially trivial stuff.

But I do not go in for superficial "understanding".

See?

Dick said he had a strategy of not studying for exams: he figured if he really knew his stuff he would not need to study.

I did the same thing from grade one through university, and it worked most of the time. I never studied for exams, which is why I flunked electromagnetism twice.

Similarly I'm not after superficial 'understanding'.

There's no such thing. Either you know it or you don't.

I changed my priorities when I re-discovered how to think and feel as a newborn baby.

So you still wear diapers and sleep 23 hours a day?

You are keeping me guessing about your identity. I doubt that you are Stephen Hawking saying stuff he doesn't dare show his colleagues publicly, however.

Wow! How did you find that out?

Have fun,

Stanley Ipkiss
