...you would not know the answer. I asked that because you have a tenth grade education, and you used the word derivative. Derivatives are usually taught in 11th or 12th grade. The answer is y'=2x+2
or if you prefer f'(x)=2x+2
f''(x)=2
f'''(x)=0
