Greene who wrote 'The Elegant Universe' solved the 2-D string theory equations exactly while a post-doc at Harvard in 1989 and found that critical circular rings focus everything outside the ring into a map of it at the inverse distance inside the ring.

So in effect all universes ever created are mapped into every baby universe at every point in the baby universe according to Greene.
