Why Not Ask For An Israeli's Point Of View?

And do you want just any Muslim's point of view?
We have heard very little from what I understand to be a rational Jewish or Israeli perspective on this forum. Yanniru claims to be a European non-Jew who recently converted, and he sure doesn't make me admire his religion.
How about astronomer and poet Omar Khayyam? Was he a fundamentalist Muslim or a rational man in a Muslim culture? Do his verses rant and rage about
punishments for 'lust' like Jisbond's do?
Can anyone tell me -- was Kahlil Gibran a Muslim?
He was a thoughtful man.
Miike
