God just gives us the possibilities. We know this because many prophecies like biblical commandments are contradictory. Moses told us how to reslve contradictory laws- by realizing the underlying truth. Likewise, because of human free will, God cannot control history and therefore cannot make exact prophecies. The best he/she can do is present all the possibilities, some of wjich are contradictory.

For example, the two main possibilities from Revelations is that the world survives and we stop at WWII, or the world as we know it dies when we go on to WWIII. Both prophecies are in Revelations.

So God does not give false information. He/she just gives us all the possibilities. Humans then decide en masse which possibilities to manifest.
