Yes, of course, I was speaking a bit tounge in cheek by saying Jesus plagurized great minds of Asia. However, I feel that his ideas were certainly not original.

I believe Taoism is greatly misinterpreted as being a "do nothing" philosophy. In fact, I feel it is the apex of knowing when to act and when to hold back. To do through non-action was not meant to mean always through non-action, but rather, to know when to act and when to not act. Kinda like knowing when to hold your tounge in the proper situation and when to speak your mind appropriately in another. Taoism does speak of universal justice and rights to all. To put it even simpler, if aliens came down from the sky, they could read the Tao Te Ching and say, "Hey, that makes sense." I don't think it would be the same reaction to the Torah, New Testament, or Qu'ran.

Siddhartha Guatama set the stage of better understanding reality. "Life is impermanent" is one of the most important things to realize about life. Also the proper role of each human being in life is set in the Eightfold path, from right action to right thinking to having the right job. I don't think Jesus went as far as to each man's role to each other as Guatama did.
