This is what was asked by Kyle:

"Can you arrange them to form four (4) identical equilateral triangles?"

So, the triangle is the shape that we are tring to reconstruct. By going 3D we are able to take advantage of the ground to complete one of a triangle. Five or six equilateral triangles can be made in this manner.
