Hi Harv,
What Alan said makes enough sense to me
that I am not worried. But like you, I hope he is safe and in good health.
"To be unique is to be known"
is true by definition:
A thing that is unknown cannot be asserted to be unique. If one asserts it to be unique, one has vouched for knowing its details.

"***So I figured that the unique person was KNOWN to the dog!*** "

The "dog" reference sounds funny, but in context,
the dog is simply another player in the model he is trying to describe.

I will admit I haven't studied all Alan's work
this week, but what I saw appears to be an attempt to parse out all the substeps with analogy.

We need someone to say it's nonsense to throw others off the trail because he's probably onto something fairly coherent!

Mike
